Bulletin of Research Center

Since 2013, Research Services Department of The Grand National Assembly of Turkiye publishes “ARMER Bulletin” twice a year.
Our aim in publishing ARMER (Turkish abbreviation of ‘Araştırma Merkezi’ (Research Center) Bulletin is to promote the Research Services Department that plays a crucial role in providing qualified information support to the Parliament. Each section in the Bulletin provides information about ARMER’s activities within the indicated six-month period.
Under the first section of the Bulletin ‘From ARMER’s Desk’, we present an overview of ARMER’s operational mechanism and its principles as well as statistics about the number of studies in terms of product types and owner of requests.
Second section “Selected Studies” includes the presentation of some of the latest ARMER studies. We believe that the studies presented in the Bulletin contribute to the legislative and oversight activities of the Parliament as well as providing an introductory summary for those not familiar with the Research Center in the Parliament.
The books written by ARMER experts are introduced in “ARMER Books” section of the Bulletin.
The fourth section of the Bulletin provides information on some of the local and international seminars that our experts attended. This section is called “Seminar Notes”.
‘Activities’ section focuses on the visits ARMER hosted. The presentations delivered by our experts to ARMER’s guests are mentioned in this section as well. In addition, more information is given under the “News” section about the recent developments in our Department as well as various training programs our experts attended.
The section “ECPRD Requests” provides a list of the recent ECPRD Requests in which information requests of various ECPRD members are replied and sent to the relevant country/countries. Therefore, ECPRD is a useful tool for inter-parliamentary cooperation and information exchange.
A list of recent ARMER studies are provided under the section called ‘Recent Products’.
